Join Us!
First Time Visitor? We love having visitors in worship! We are located at the intersection of S. Main St. and W. Jefferson St. in Anna, across from Southern Bank. We encourage visitors to introduce themselves to the pastor after the worship service!
What You Can Expect We use the Lutheran liturgies for each church season. Our service is at 9:00 am. each Sunday. We sing hymns from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship book (ELW), the With One Voice (WOV) hymnal and also The Other Song Book (OSB). Holy Communion is celebrated each week. All baptized Christians who believe that the body and blood of Christ are present are welcome at the Lord's Table. Children who do not yet receive communion are invited to come forward for a blessing.
Our worship services are led by our pastor, with help from many lay leaders. Members of the congregation help with worship leadership as Assisting Ministers, Readers, Greeters, Acolytes, Cantors, Musicians, by delivering the Children's Sermon and by preparing the worship space (the Altar Guild).
The service is printed in easy-to-follow bulletins. Children are encouraged to participate in the worship service, and we have a Children's Sermon, followed by Children's Church downstairs, held during the sermon time. Also available at our two entrances are activity bags which include prizes, coloring pages and other activities.
Our worship space is wheelchair accessible, via a lift at the back of the building outside on the back corner adjacent to our parking lot. Our fellowship space, restrooms and offices are also on the main floor. |
